My name is Lauren McInnis. I am a 21 year old student who recently transferred from Brandeis University to Rivier University. I am a psychology major with an interest in clinical psychology as well as neuroscience and biology. I believe that in our current society, mental health issues are very stigmatized, which leads to many people neglecting their struggles and issues and settling with a lower quality of life and overall happiness. Through education about mental health issues and education about the many options for treatment using different approaches depending on individual needs, I believe many people can be empowered to address their struggles and strive for better lives.
